RESCON Delegation kanadischer Bauherren erkundet die Zukunft der nachhaltigen Vorfertigung bei Baufritz mit hsbcad

On October 21st, 2025, hsbcad and Baufritz had the pleasure of welcoming 30 members from the Residential Construction Council of Ontario (RESCON) for an inspiring visit to Erkheim, Germany. The tour was part of RESCON’s Fall Mission Tour to explore innovative homebuilding practices and learn how European companies are setting new benchmarks in sustainability and prefabrication.

Representing Ontario’s largest residential homebuilders, responsible for approximately 15,000 new homes each year, RESCON is at the forefront of advancing building innovation in Canada. While some members have experience with panelized construction, this trip marked the first deep dive into modern prefabrication for many attendees.

A long-time hsbcad partner, Baufritz is renowned for its individually designed wooden homes that combine aesthetics, health, and sustainability. With over 1,000 health-certified homes, Baufritz continues to pioneer eco-friendly construction using renewable materials, energy-efficient systems, and an uncompromising commitment to quality. In 2009, the company was recognized as Germany’s most sustainable homebuilder under the patronage of Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel.

The RESCON delegation toured Baufritz’s production facilities to see first-hand how digital design translates into precise manufacturing. The visit concluded with a walk through several Baufritz model homes, showcasing the comfort, style, and performance possible with sustainable prefabrication.

During the tour, hsbcad presented its integrated software ecosystem driving Baufritz’s operations. Center stage was hsbDesign, built on native Revit® and AutoCAD®, demonstrating how an intelligent 3D design model can be transformed into machine-ready data with a single click. Seamlessly connected to hsbMake, the leading MES/CAM solution for offsite manufacturing, hsbcad is bridging design and production, automating offsite factory workflows and enabling true Design for Manufacturing (DfMA) integration.
